About this organization
Mission
To provide individuals with Prader-Willi syndrome, their families, and professionals with a state network of information, advocacy and support services.
About
Awareness programs: Prader-Willi California Foundation held numerous events to raise public awareness of PWS including a statewide walkathon that takes place in three major cities in California at prominent park locations, and online, and participated as an official charity at the Jet Blue Long Beach Marathon and Aquarium of the Pacific 5k. We also sent out a greeting card with information about PWS to over 1000 people. Each of these events served to provide education to the public and networking opportunities for families so they feel less isolated and more connected with other families and professionals.
