About this organization
Mission
To address the psychosocial effects of trauma among international survivors of human rights abuses through culturally aware, trauma-informed and linguistically accessible mental health care, clinical training and policy advocacy. At our Mosaic Healing Center in the San Francisco Bay Area, we provide mental health care for refugees, asylees, asylum seekers and international human trafficking survivors. We also partner with area universities to train psychology and social work students through our Global Healing and Human Rights Training Program. We further aim to apply what we know about the impacts of trauma, and approaches for healing trauma, to advocate for policies and programs that prioritize freedom from violence and prevent trauma and re-traumatization among global populations.
