Mission

To provide a model of education for youth that helps to meet their basic needs and normalize their lives, allowing them to overcome the impact of disaster and conflict.

About

Summer of 2018, ACE expended its impact in quality education through a teacher training program in collaboration with Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated, Alpha Alpha Lambda Zeta Chapter (Zeta), Kakata Teacher Training Institute (KRTTI), and Liberia Community Network (LCN). The Zetas spent several months developing materials based on the input from KRTTI instructors, principals, and teachers for the training and came to Liberia in July 2018 to facilitate train-the-train workshops for 11 instructors from KRTTI and 24 school administrators from low-income, primary schools. The KRTTI instructors that were trained by the Zetas then provided 3 weeks of intensive training for 98 teachers from 20 primary schools located in Margibi County and Montserrado County. The training was followed by monthly tutorials throughout the academic year.
