About
The Child First Advocacy Center (CFAC) provides structure as a central agency through which a collaborative response to allegations of child sexual abuse is coordinated. CFAC hosts a multi-disciplinary team who reviews and tracks cases. During FY 2019, CFAC coordinated consistent and comprehensive responses to abuse allegations by housing interviewing equipment in a child-centered setting, ensuring adequate training for forensic interviews and providing referrals for victims and their families. CFAC is also a community resource, providing information and resources, trainings, presentations and specialized referrals. In FY19, CFAC investigated 211 cases of alleged abuse and served countless other members of the community through referrals and prevention programs. CFAC increased our linkage agreements with medical services and mental health providers in order to maintain quality referrals services and provide onsite availability.
