Kidsafe Collaborative engages agencies, community organizations and individuals to work together to improve our community's response to child abuse and neglect. Kidsafe Collaborative works to support the safety, health and well-being of children by 1) improving the systems and support services that prevent and address child abuse and neglect, and 2) support children and families through facilitation of multi-disciplinary interagency child protection teams. Kidsafe coordinates the Kidsafe Collaborative Council, a partnership of agencies, community groups and individuals that work together, meeting monthly, to improve systems and strengthen supports for children and families. It convenes the Community Advisory Board to the Family Services Division of the VT Dept. for Children and Families (DCF) (Burlington District Office), to improve policy and practice via input and action by consumers and community members.
