Learning and achieving through the arts (LATA): Program serving students include instructional day classes in the visual and performing arts, provided over multi-week sessions. LATA is a sequential 7-8 week course of instruction in the visual and performing arts for grades K-8 students of 26 low-performing schools for 2018. Through arts learning, LATA students demonstrate improved levels of art skills, English proficiency, and increase their learning potential in all subject areas.
