Valencia Shelter Services helps individuals affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, & child abuse in their efforts to move their lives forward. We provide shelter, housing, counseling, & advocacy to support them in building lives free from the effects of violence. We seek social change to end domestic violence, sexual assault, & child abuse.

During FY2019, Valencia Shelter Services continued to provide comprehensive services to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse. Advocates provided support to 302 victims on our 24-hour crisis hotline, emergency shelter to 169 survivors and their children, housing assistance to 40 survivors and their children, personal advocacy and legal advocacy to 280 survivors, and counseling services to over 232 survivors and children. In addition, VSS provided primary prevention programming to students at a local high school, coordinated over 125 child abuse cases through the child advocacy center and multidisciplinary team, and reached nearly 800 community members through our outreach efforts.
