Mission

S.A.F.E. House's mission is to shelter and empower survivors of intimate partner domestic violence. Our vision is to live together in a community where any form of domestic violence is unacceptable.

Shelter - houses daily up to 105 adults and children. All residents receive free room and board. Adult services include counseling, classes in the dynamics and effects of domestic violence, parenting skills, extensive case management, safety planning, assistance with job development skills and referrals to other resources in the community as needed. Children's services include children's individual and group therapy, including art/play therapy, educational and community activities and assistance in developing a safety plan should the violence reoccur. During the current year, 764 persons received shelter services.
