To promote independence, preserve dignity, and enhance life quality for a diverse population of older adults and people with disabilities. The purpose is to provide services and programs to senior citizens, 60 years of age and older living in the City of Deming, Village of Columbus and Luna County.

Meals are provided in a congregate setting to senior citizens 60 years of age or older, or a spouse of a widow, who meets the age requirements, at a suggested donation. In additio, the Organization provides home delivered lunches to seniors that are assessed as homebound and unable to prepare meals for themselves. The same criteria are followed on the age requirements as is for congregate meals.Transporation program provides transportation to senior citizens living in the service area. The age requirement is age 60 or older. There is a suggested donation for this service. Weekly transportation is scheduled for doctor appointments, shopping, banking, beauty/barber shop, or any other appointments that a senior may have.Homemaker services are provided to at-risk seniors, assisting them with meal preparation, shoppping, money management, using the telephone, and other light household chores.The Senior Employment program is designed to provide employment to senior citizens in areas that provide services to senior citizens.Finally, the organization receives funds to strengthen, restore, maintain or improve the participant's ability to be self-supportive and independent.
