The State Alliance will be used to convene, coordinate, support, advocate, and carry out the charitable and educational purposes of the Michigan YMCAs. Membership in the State Alliance is voluntary and is comprised of the twenty-seven Michigan YMCA associations. Youth Development: Healthy Out of School Time (HOST) For generations YMCA's have provide healthy and safe out of school programs for the Michigan Children,The State Alliance will assist local YMCA's in improving and expanding their work. Through the utilization of evidence based programs guided by the Center for Disease Control recommendations, compliance with the YMCA of the USA's Healthy Eating and Physical Activity Standards and serving as United States Department of Agriculture approved feeding sites, local YMCA's are expanding opportunities for healthy lives.
