CASA of Travis County exists to promote and protect the best interest of children who have been abused or neglected, by training volunteers to advocate for them in courts, in schools and in our community to help them find safe, permanent and loving homes.

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Travis County speaks up for children whove been abused or neglected by empowering our community to volunteer as advocates for them in the court system. When the state steps in to protect a childs safety, a judge appoints a trained CASA volunteer to make independent and informed recommendations in the childs best interest. In 2018, CASA served 1,811 children in the court system due to abuse or neglect in their homes. CASA trained 232 new volunteers and supported a total of 736 active volunteers who served children during the year.
