Founded in 1982, Community Table provides hunger relief, emergency support and self-sufficiency programs for families in need across the northern Denver metro area.
About
Community Table's mission is to provide food and resources to foster self-sufficiency. During the past year, 1.1 million pounds of donated food were shared with clients through 13,100 shopping visits to the client choice food pantry and through 8 school-based food pantries; and 20,800 sacks of weekend food were distributed to Arvada/Wheat Ridge school children. Clients of the Bridges program (including more than 500 new clients) received self-sufficiency support including help with applications for public assistance benefits (including food, medical and utilities), case management services for federal housing vouchers, GED preparation, job search assistance and information/referral. Seventy households received one-time rent/utility/other emergency financial assistance.
