Our residential programs in Durham & Wake counties, host up to 60 families each night, providing a warm meal, shared living areas, playroom, laundry facilities, and educational support. In 2017, the house programs provided 19,446 nights of care for 869 families. Families traveled from 88 of 100 NC counties, 32 US states, one foreign country, & one US territory. Ronald McDonald House of Durham & Wake also provides in-hospital support for families of pediatric patients through family room programs at Duke Children's Hospital in Durham and WakeMed Children's Hospital in Raleigh. The family rooms supported over 25,000 pediatric caregivers and enabled them to stay close by their children.
