Mission

Founded in 1928, National Child Research Center is a play-based preschool that provides a collaborative approach to preschool education, nurtures the whole child, fosters partnerships with families, and is committed to the inclusion of children

About

For generations, NCRC has led the way as a model play-based preschool, providing a collaborative approach to preschool education. NCRC nurtures the whole child and feeds and channels a child's natural inquisitiveness to foster a lifetime interest in learning and exploring. NCRC's curriculum is based on sound research - it is strategic and intentional. Since its inception in 1928, NCRC has welcomed children with special needs into our educational model with the belief that a diverse community broadens each child's perspective and brings added gifts to the program. NCRC's teachers - early childhood specialists - support a child's early development in ways that are fun and engaging, giving them the social-emotional tools they need to succeed every day and throughout life. In the 2018-2019 fiscal year, NCRC educated 179 pre-kindergarten students ages 2 1/2 to 6 years.
