About this organization
Mission
Building a better Maryland takes a special kind of strength-the kind of strength you'll find every day in leaders throughout our local businesses and communities. At Leadership Maryland, we harness that strength by bringing together local leaders from all sectors, industries, and geographic regions of our state-people with a passion for making Maryland the best place to work and live. Together, we engage on the vital issues affecting our state and work to build solutions for real, actionable change.
About
50 Maryland leaders from business, non-profit organizations, education, and the public sector participated in a year-long program focused on the state of Maryland. Leaders met during eight months of the year in different regions of the state for a series of classes and hands-on experiences that highlighted local, regional, and statewide issues. Perspectives were broadened on a number of the most significant issues facing the state, including education, health and human services, criminal justice, environment, and diversity and multi-culturalism.
