FREE THE PEOPLE HAS ONE CORE PROGRAM, VIDEO STORYTELLING. WE WANT TO MAKE THE COMMUNITY FOR LIBERTY A COOL THING. USING CUTTING-EDGE TECHNOLOGY AND STORYTELLING, WE'RE BUILDING A GRASSROOTS CONSTITUENCY THAT CAN TRANSLATE GOOD IDEAS INTO EDUCATION, CONVERSATION, AND SOCIAL ACTIVISM. THIS COMMUNITY INFLUENCES CULTURE AND PUBLIC OPINION, AND DRIVES BOOTS-ON-THE-GROUND SOCIAL CHANGE FROM THE BOTTOM UP. AS PART OF THIS CORE PROGRAM WE PRODUCE A SERIES OF VIDEOS INCLUDING: THE DEADLY ISMS: THE DEADLY ISMS, WITH LONGER, HIGHER PRODUCTION-VALUE EPISODES FOCUSED ON VARYING FORMS OF GOVERNANCE SUCH AS SOCIALISM, COMMUNISM AND FASCISM. WE EXPLORED THEIR ILLS USING HISTORICAL EXAMPLES AND EXPERT INTERVIEWS TO BUILD A CASE AGAINST THEM, PRESENTING A STARK CONTRAST WITH LIBERTY. KIBBE ON LIBERTY: KIBBE ON LIBERTY, PRODUCED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH CRTV WAS A TWICE WEEKLY SHOW THAT TRANSLATED COMPLEX ECONOMIC ISSUES INTO FUN AND EASY TO DIGEST VIDEO PROGRAMMING. ON THE SHOW, WE DEALT WITH DIVERSE TOPICS SUCH AS THE FAILURES OF SOCIALISM, THE REGULATION OF BEER, THE FAILURES OF PROTECTIONISM AND WHY WE STILL NEED TO BALANCE THE BUDGET. MINI-DOCUMENTARIES: FREE THE PEOPLE PRODUCED A VARIETY OF ENTERTAINING AND EDUCATIONAL MINIDOCUMENTARIES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. TWO EXAMPLES: - BEER IS FREEDOM. WHEN HOPS CROSS BORDERS TELLS THE STORY OF A BEER COLLABORATION BETWEEN A BREWERY IN BELGRADE, SERBIA AND ONE IN FREDERICK, MARYLAND. USING BEER AS THE VEHICLE TO CATCH PEOPLE'S ATTENTION, WE EDUCATED VIEWERS ON THE VALUES OF COLLABORATION, COOPERATION, COSMOPOLITANISM AND FREE TRADE. - OFF THE GRID TELLS THE STORY OF A CONSERVATIVE CONGRESSMAN AND HIS LIFE ON HIS FARM. SET IN THE ROLLING HILLS OF KENTUCKY, THE MINIDOCUMENTARY DEMONSTRATES HOW PROPERTY RIGHTS AND GREEN TECHNOLOGY MAKE FOR A VIRTUOUS CIRCLE OF ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP. AND HOW LOCAL DECISION MAKING BEATS OUT CONCENTRATED POWER AND TOP-DOWN CONTROL IN WASHINGTON EVERY TIME.
