Mission

CHCI is a nonpartisan leadership development organization dedicated to cultivating the next generation of Latino leaders in the US. As a pipeline of Latino talent to corporations, government agencies, nonprofits and other organizations, CHCI ensures the interests of the Latino community are represented across all sectors of society. In addition to managing a network of nearly 4000 highly accomplished alumni, CHCI convenes a variety of stakeholders that include Members of Congress and other public officials, corporate executives, and nonprofit advocates and leaders to discuss issues facing the Hispanic community and our nation. CHCI PUBLIC POLICY CONFERENCE: EVERY YEAR, CHCI CONVENES HUNDREDS OF CURRENT AND EMERGING LEADERS FROM THE PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SECTORS TO DISCUSS CRITICAL POLICY ISSUES AND TRENDS AFFECTING THE LATINO COMMUNITY AND THE NATION. THE TWO-DAY LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE FEATURES SUMMITS AND PLENARIES, OFTEN CHAIRED BY MEMBERS OF CONGRESS AND CHCI'S BOARD OF ADVISORS, THAT ADDRESS ISSUES SUCH AS HOME OWNERSHIP, WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT, GENDER PARITY, DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION, EDUCATION, HEALTHCARE, IMMIGRATION, WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT, ENTREPRENEURSHIP, TECHNOLOGY AND OTHER CONTEMPORARY ISSUES INCLUDING CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY. IN 2018, THE LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE BROUGHT CLOSE TO 1,000 PARTICIPANTS TOGETHER AND PREPARED THEM TO CONTINUE THE WORK OF CREATING CHANGE IN THEIR RESPECTIVE FIELDS AND COMMUNITIES.
