Youth development: The California State Alliance of YMCAs promotes youth development in California by promoting investment in youth development through advocacy, advocating in support of the youth development programs of our member associations, and supporting collaboration among our member associations on statewide initiatives to promote youth development. In 2018 we advocated for increased funding to Californias after school education and safety (ASES) program. We advocated for ASES and 21st CCLC programs to be eligible for Prop 64 funding. We advocated to have organized day camps to be desgnated distinctly from licensed childcare.
