YOUTH DEVELOPMENT: NURTURING THE POTENTIAL OF EVERY CHILD AND TEEN. THE KETTLE MORAINE YMCA BELIEVES IN YOUTH DEVELOPMENT AND IS DEDICATED TO NURTURING THE POTENTIAL OF EVERY CHILD AND TEEN. YOUTH DEVELOPMENT AT THE Y INCLUDES LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS (SUCH AS IT'S A GIRL THING AND TEEN NIGHTS), YOUTH CIVIC ENGAGEMENT (SUCH AS YOUTH IN GOVERNMENT), COMPETITIVE SPORTS, RECREATION ACTIVITIES, YOUTH SWIM LESSONS, DAY CAMP, COUNSELORS IN TRAINING, AND SPECIALTY CAMP PROGRAMS. IN 2017-2018, THE KETTLE MORAINE Y IMPACTED THE LIVES OF OVER 15,000 CHILDREN THROUGH ITS YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS. THE Y CHILD CARE SERVED 1,903 INFANT THROUGH SCHOOL-AGED CHILDREN. THIS INCLUDES OUR FULL-TIME CHILD CARE PROGRAM AT SIX LOCATIONS, PRESCHOOL EDUCATION, BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL CARE FOR ALL LOCAL SCHOOLS, SUMMER YOUTH CARE AT TWO LOCATIONS AND DAY CAMP PARTICIPANTS. CHILD CARE SITES ARE IN Y BRANCHES, SCHOOLS, CHURCHES, AND OTHER NON-YMCA LOCATIONS.
