Mission

The mission of African Immigrants Community Services is to provide integrated community services that help resettle Twin Cities refugee community by helping them secure employment, affordable housing, and connecting them to community resources.

About

Minnesota Department of Health Programs are designed to counter Tobacco usage. The intended outcome of the program is to lead to tobacco cessation. In 2019, we increased our Tobacco budget by more 50% and led multiple campaigns and workshops to educate refugees about smoking hazards including Hookah and Shisha which have become prevalent among refugee and low income young adults. In 2019, we also partnered with Hennepin County Sheriff's office to undertake major campaigns targeted to immigrant communities. It was our most successful year on record.
