Mission

Musana Community Development Organization is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The organizations is strategically equipping men, women and children out of a dependency mindset and empowering them to “be the change." Musana exists to see rural communities develop using sustainable solutions that give hope and dignity to the most vulnerable. Musana has identified three major areas of need in the community education, healthcare and skill development. Our projects include schools, a health center, skills and business training programs. Each one of these socially driven programs (and more) tackle poverty by not only addressing the needs of the people, but by also growing into profit-generating businesses. Profits from our projects are used to provide outreach and educational programs to the community, AND bring financial sustainability to the organization as a whole. Our core values of local ownership, sustainability, social entrepreneurship and accountability, drive all the work of Musana, making us unique. Musana is empowering the local people to create not another charity, but a movement of sustainable solutions that are transforming their community. For more information visit, musana.org.
