Mission

To strengthen our community through bicycle education and safety programs. To create a community of healthy active individuals by providing hope to the less fortunate through support, training, and access to bicycles. To complete this Vision in the next 5 Years we will: Provide collaborative youth bicycle education through formal afterschool programs that develop creativity, self-esteem, responsibility, community and leadership. Repurpose and recycle bicycles, promoting environmental sustainability. Provide access to affordable bicycles for adults and youth who live below the poverty level. Partnering with other local non-profits by providing free bicycles and helmets to children and adults. Promote bicycling to improve healthy lifestyles and transportation necessary to secure and retain employment. Provide youths with community service hours through a unique experience learning a skill and giving back to the community. Hopefully the experience will encourage them to give back throughout their adult lives. Teach adults in recovery basic bicycle mechanics. They also learn team work, leadership responsibility and ability to follow directions, a good foundation to help them obtain a job and be successful at keeping a job.
