Mission

Men2Boys Inc provides group mentoring and teen coaching to young males, to encourage, empower and equip them to recognize their responsibility to make choices and decisions that will lead to successful adulthood.

About

Men2Boys (M2Bs), biggest success and the most impactful mentoring program are conducted with the Department of Juvenile Justice. We believe the last four year we've been able to speak into the lives of the young males has been a success, as we have seen the difference in their behavior and conversation. Over the four years of conduction weekly mentoring group sessions, the average attendee has increased, as many of the young males who completed their DJJ requirements continue to attend and allow M2Bs to work with them, to either complete their graduation requires or to prepare them for the workforce. We had our first college bond male in 2017 and a second is following suit in 2018. M2Bs served over 100 young males in 2017 and is a track to serve 100 plus in 2018. We conduct mentoring groups four days per week, plus weekend coaching. In 2018 DJJ referred a youth who was failing all seven of his classes, with "F". For the first few mentoring sessions the youth showed no interest in the program. One of the mentors drove him home after a session and challenged him that if he would work on improving his grades to 'A's and 'B's, M2Bs would help him with some of the personal issues he had expressed he was having. The youth accepted the challenge and worked regularly with M2Bs tutor and mentors to improve his grades. By the middle of the quarter, the youth had improved his grades in five of his classes. The youth continue working with M2Bs, he completed the quarter with 'A's and 'B's and one 'C'. He graduated from high school and has taken the exam to enroll in the U.S. Navy. He passed that exam with a very high score, almost two times the necessary passing score.
