THE DIRE NEED FOR CLEAN, SAFE DRINKING WATER LED TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE WATER TREATMENT FACILITIES PROJECT VITAL IN A REGION PLAGUED WITH AILMENTS CAUSED BY HIGH FLUORIDE LEVELS IN THE WATER. A TOTAL OF 32 WATER TREATMENT FACILITIES HAVE BEEN INSTALLED, AS A RESULT OF WHICH 2,000 FAMILIES IN AND AROUND 32 VILLAGES NOW HAVE ACCESS TO CLEAN DRINKING WATER. OVER 200,000 PATIENTS HAVE RECEIVED FREE TREATMENT FOR LIFE THREATENING CONDITIONS, LIKE CANCER, DIABETES AND POLIO, TOGETHER WITH OBSTETRIC/GYNECOLOGICAL, DENTAL AND VISION AND PHYSICAL THERAPY CARE. BASIC MEDICAL SUPPLIES, INCLUDING WHEEL CHAIRS, ARE DISTRIBUTED FREE OF CHARGE, AND 15,000 PATIENTS HAVE BEEN TREATED THROUGH THE FREE HOSPITAL'S, MOBILE OUTREACH CLINICS, AND FREE EDUCATION PROVIDED TO 680 SCHOOL KIDS.
