Mission

Every year, millions of families around the world are made homeless because of humanitarian crises and natural disasters such as earthquakes, tsunamis and floods. ShelterBox is an international, nonprofit organization that responds immediately, by providing humanitarian relief in the form of supplies that bring hope, independence and a sense of normalcy to the most vulnerable people. Since 2000, the organization has delivered boxes of aid and other supplies such as tents, water filters, stoves, blankets and other tools to help families survive and rebuild their lives in the aftermath of more than 300 disasters in over 100 countries worldwide.

About

In 2019, ShelterBox impacted the lives of 145,000 people who lost everything through conflict or natural disaster. We responded 11 times (7 natural disasters and 4 conflicts) and provided 145,000 people across 11 countries with emergency shelter and life-saving aid items. These families were supported with emergency shelter and other essential household items including blankets, mosquito nets, solar lights, cooking sets, water carriers and water filters. Items like tools and tarpaulins helped build shelters and bring families together again. Mosquito nets and water filters helped mothers protect their children from vector and water-borne diseases.
