Mission

The Upper Valley Land Trust helps people protect the lands they care about most, including working farms, forested ridges, wildlife habitat, clean water, trails, and scenic views. By providing conservation leadership and practical assistance, UVLT helps individuals and communities secure the mixture of land uses critical to the region's rural character and the vitality of its community life. Since 1985, UVLT has permanently protected over 500 parcels of land encompassing more than 52,000 acres. UVLT stands committed to the stewardship of these conserved lands for the benefit of present and future Upper Valley residents. UVLT is supported primarily by local contributions from individuals.

About

Land conservation: We work with local conservation commissions, volunteers and partners to identify and prioritize land conservation opportunities. Our conservation transactions include donated conservation agreements and purchases, land received through bequests or bought outright. We provide technical assistance and conservation solutions for landowners. We hold permanent restrictions (conservation easements or fee title) to conserve key properties forever.
