Treatment & Prevention Stand Strong provides treatment through counseling primary and secondary victims of domestic violence throughout San Luis Obispo County. They provide on-site counseling in two different locations, as well as providing counseling services through 11 different schools. Stand Strong provides trauma informed counseling services to help educate and heal both victims and perpetrators of domestic violence regardless of race, color, national origin, sexual orientation, age, gender, disability, belief systems, or spiritual-based practices. Stand Strong also administers prevention programs that bring about decreases in domestic violence risk factors and increases in domestic violence protective factors by engaging men, boys and athletes in evidence based programs to establish and enforce positive behaviors and societal norms.
