Mission

Great Shape! empowers children and their families in Jamaica and the Caribean by providing access to health care and education.

About

1000 Smiles Dental Project and Sealant Project: Over 550 dental volunteers from all over the USA, Canada and beyond provided 100% free dental clinical services and oral health education to over 25,000 Jamaicans, St Lucians & Grenadians in great need. The teams visited some 25 different high needs communities across 3 Islands in portable dental clinic sites set up in rural areas. Our Sealant Project focuses on prevention through sealant and fluoride therapies in addition to oral health education and lunch time tooth brushing programs. The value of the dental program is estimated to be over $4,000,000 USD in total. We partner closely with the Governments of Jamaica, Grenada, and St Lucia. We also partner with some 15 University Dental and Dental Hygiene programs where students work under direct supervision of their preceptors.
