Mission

To create and support meaningful connections by enhancing the lives of dogs, cats and the people in our community who love them.

About

We create and support meaningful connections by enhancing the lives of dogs, cats and the people in our community who love them. This is accomplished through providing a positive temporary home for dogs and cats in transition, locating owners of lost pets and managing safety net programs to keep pets in homes and reduce the need for the shelter. These programs include low income spay and neuter vouchers, community cat trap- neuter-return, food bank, pas help line and www.home-home.org. Spaying and neutering is a priority for pas; all dogs and cats adopted from pas will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped before adoption. In 2018, we assisted 2100 dogs and cats within our shelter and helped more than 3300 families through our programs. Our national home to home program is now in ten states. Our partner shelters are experiencing, on average, a 13% reduction in their owner surrenders while offering great customer service and support to their community.
