As a fund raising entity, with the sole purpose of providing much needed park improvements, recreation programming and scholarship programs, we host fundraising events and seek grants to foster and support the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District. Mia's dream - ongoing grant writing and fundraising for an all-inclusive park for special needs children. Several newspaper articles published sharing the importance of the new playground which will break ground in 2018. Golf Tournament - Proceeds to support Mia's Dream Park, Youth scholarship for low-income children, and programs and services of HARD. 150 guests attended and large community outreach to promote the HARD foundation. Tango Event - Proceeds to support Mia's Dream park and the Douglas Morrison Theater. 120 guests attended and large community outreach to promote the HARD Foundation.
