Mission

Winner of the 2021 Global Pluralism Award, Hand in Hand’s mission is to advance equality and a society shared by all citizens of Israel. We pursue this mission through: (1) Operating the only growing network of bilingual, integrated and multicultural schools in Israel where Jewish and Arab students study together daily and interact in an environment of equality and mutual respect. (2) Engaging Jewish and Arab adults in communities surrounding each of our schools through shared activities which cement interpersonal relationships, enable productive dialogue, encourage civic engagement and feelings of solidarity. (3) Influencing decision-makers at local and national levels of government to offer inclusive activities and mainstream bilingualism and multicultural public education.
