Velocity is Seattle's premier art center dedicated to contemporary dance and performance.

Studio/Theater Operation and On-Going Classes: Velocity provides a wide variety of drop-in classes, dance series, masterclasses, and workshops, both for the professional dance community and the general public. In 2018, Velocity provided 76 masterclasses and workshops, 35 ongoing drop-in classes, 5 Intro Series classes, which provided high-quality dance instruction for 6,500 community members and dancers. Velocity also provides a performance platform for emerging and established dance artists, largely from Seattle; in 2018 we produced 39 shows, serving over 3,000 audience members.
