Mission

HOPE UNLIMITED EXISTS TO CARE FOR THE PHYSICAL, EMOTIONAL AND SPIRITUAL NEEDS OF PEOPLE BY OFFERING THE HOPE OF JESUS CHRIST THROUGH COMPASSIONATE MINISTRIES.

About

TODAY, WE HAVE 14 ACTIVE CHAPLAINS AND SUPPORT OFFICERS THROUGH HOPE UNLIMITED'S NORTHWEST INCIDENT SUPPORT (NWIS)PROGRAM. THE AREA OF SERVICE INCLUDES CAMANO ISLAND, NORTH SNOHOMISH COUNTY, AND SOUTH SKAGIT COUNTY. IN 2019, CHAPLAINS, WHO ARE AVAILABLE 24/7, RESPONDED TO 188 CALLS WHEN REQUESTED BY EMS, FIRE, HOSPITALS, AND LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES. THE CHAPLAIN ROLE PROVIDES A "MINISTRY OF PRESENCE" OFFERING COMPASSION DURING CRITICAL INCIDENTS. OUR ANTI-HUMAN TRAFFICKING INITIATIVE, BEGUN IN 2018, EXPANDED ITS REACH THIS YEAR, DUE TO THE HUGE EFFORTS OF OUR TWO LEADERS. THEY INVESTED MANY HOURS ATTENDING MEETINGS AND NETWORKING WITH AGENCIES AND OTHER ORGANIZATIONS TO LOOK FOR OPPORTUNITIES TO COLLABORATE. THEY ALSO SOUGHT OUT OPPORTUNITIES WITH SCHOOLS AND YOUTH ORGANIZATIONS TO PRESENT TRAINING MATERIAL TO KEEP KIDS SAFE FROM THE THREAT OF TRAFFICKING. THESE EFFORTS PRODUCED FRUIT WHEN WE WERE GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO PRESENT TO STUDENTS AT THE LACONNER SCHOOL DISTRICT MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL IN DECEMBER. WE HAVE ALSO RECEIVED INTEREST FROM SEVERAL OTHER SCHOOL DISTRICTS FOR PRESENTATIONS IN 2020. WE HAVE TWO NEW VOLUNTEERS WHO ARE WORKING TOWARD BECOMING TRAINERS AND THREE OTHER NEW SUPPORT VOLUNTEERS, FOR A TOTAL OF EIGHT VOLUNTEERS FOR THIS PROGRAM. IN 2018, OUR TEAM REACHED 1,584 PEOPLE WITH AWARENESS PRESENTATIONS. IN 2019, THAT NUMBER INCREASED TO 3,059.
