SERVICES PROVIDED BY RENEW INCLUDE: -- 24-HOUR ACCESS: TRAINED ADVOCATES ARE AVAILABLE 24 HOURS THROUGH THE HOTLINE TO LISTEN, LEND SUPPORT, AND PROVIDE INFORMATION AND REFERRALS ALONG WITH ACCESS TO THE SAFE HOUSE. -- WINGS SAFE HOUSE: TO GET AWAY FROM PHYSICAL ABUSE AND REPEATED PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL BATTERING WHILE PROVIDING THE NECESSARY BASIC NEEDS. -- COUNSELING: FREE PROFESSIONAL COUNSELING FOR VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND THEIR CHILDREN, ADULT VICTIMS OF SEXUAL ASSAULT, AND ADULT SURVIVORS OF CHILD SEX ABUSE WITH SUPPORT AND THERAPY GROUPS AND INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING. (CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE 0.) -- SUPPORT: ADVOCATES WILL ASSIST WITH COMMUNITY AGENCIES AND THE CIVIL OR CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM (E.G. COURT SUPPORT, ADVOCACY WITH SUPPORT AGENCIES, SAFETY PLANNING). -- INFORMATION: REFERRALS FOR LEGAL AID, FINANCIAL AND FOOD ASSISTANCE, HOUSING, COMMUNITY RESOURCES. INFORMATION REGARDING SAFETY PLANNING, RESTRAINING ORDERS, COURT APPEARANCES, COURT DOCUMENTS AND FORMS, ETC. -- COMMUNITY EDUCATION: TRAINED ADVOCATES PROVIDE SCHOOL, AGENCY, AND COMMUNITY ORGANIZATION PRESENTATIONS AND ACCESS TO LOCAL, REGIONAL, STATE AND NATIONAL TRAININGS OR TRAINERS; MANY OF THEM ARE FREE. DURING THE CURRENT FISCAL YEAR, RENEW PROVIDED DIRECT SERVICES TO 666 PERSONS IN MONTEZUMA AND DOLORES COUNTIES. THE ORGANIZATION BENEFITED FROM THE SERVICE OF TRAINED COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS WHO PROVIDED 8,891 HOURS OF SERVICE AS "ADVOCATES" FOR VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND SEXUAL ASSAULT. VOLUNTEERS ALSO WORKED 7,452 HOURS IN THE THRIFT STORE LOCATED IN DOLORES, COLORADO. ADDITIONALLY, COMMUNITY MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES AND BOARD MEMBERS CONTRIBUTED APPROXIMATELY 721 HOURS PROVIDING OTHER VOLUNTEER SERVICES, SUCH AS ADMINISTRATIVE TASKS AND FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES.
