Immigration Legal Services Providing free or low-cost services to low-income immigrants in Hawaii. Services include attorney advice and counsel, legal representation for immigration status cases, naturalization workshops, educational events to promote immigrant rights, and advocacy efforts to promote just immigration policies. In 2019, TLC co-organized three citizenship application workshops to assist 140 lawful permanent residents in applying for U.S. citizenship. We also assisted other community-based organizations at three Employment Authorization Document workshops which were designed for COFA (Micronesian) residents to obtain the proper work authorization documentation. Additionally, a TLC attorney assisted 20 clients with 46 legal matters, some of which are still open.
