The mission of Partners For Peace is to build strong families for a peaceful community. To strengthen the family unit, improve communication and promote healthy development of youth by promoting family values and relations and teaching parenting skills and youth development. The vision is all families in the Monterey Bay area will have an opportunity to acquire the skills needed to develop strong and healthy families. Through a continuum of programs, we serve parents of youth ages 5-17 years of age. 1,255 participants were served in 2016 through 35 classes.

STRENGTHENING FAMILIES PROGRAM-for parents and youth ages 10-16 years OF AGE, THIS PROGRAM teaches family skills needed to develop strong and healthy values and relationships. SFP is a nationally recognized, science based program conducted in English and Spanish. Youth who complete the program demonstrated reduced rates of alcohol, tobacco and marijuana use AND fewer conduct problems in school. TWENTY 8-week classes WERE offered, serving 553 parents and youth.
