About

In 2018, Journey of Hope served 838 children and family members who were grieving the death of a loved one, putting on 600 groups throughout the year in addition to special programs. Family Nights helped to support families as they prepared for the holidays by offering them skills and tools and allowing them to process their feelings and create a plan and support system. Our Candlelight Memorial was a special evening where families came together and remembered their loved ones in December. Journey provided crisis support for 33 people in schools and other organizations where there had been an unexpected death. Our numbers served have nearly doubled in four years. We also created the only Spanish language program in North Texas. Journey of Hope trained 145 school counselors on supporting grieving children in their schools and continued to serve families from ten counties in North Texas.
