About this organization
Mission
The mission of the Turtle Creek Conservancy is to raise the essential private funding needed to provide elevated care and thoughtful development to Turtle Creek Park and Arlington Hall for today and tomorrow.
About
Conservancy programs include activities directly associated with the preservation and enhancement of Oak Lawn Park (formerly Lee Park) and Arlington Hall, as well as community outreach events to promote neighborhood engagement. The organization's signature event, Day at the Races, brought over 550 people to the park to help raise funds for the park and hall. The Conservancy continued to host Easter in Lee Park where over 4500 people and pets came to the park to enjoy music, a pooch parade, a free Easter egg hunt, food trucks and pet adoptions. Neighborhood and other city residents celebrated the start of the holiday season with the Light Up the Park lighting of trees in the park. The Conservancy welcomes thousands of people to Oak Lawn Park and in Arlington Hall throughout the course of a year, with approximately 5,300 attending Conservancy-specific events and another 30,000-40,000 using the park on a regular basis or the hall for a private event.
