Leukemia Texas, Inc., founded in 1970, is an independent, platinum-rated nonprofit corporation dedicated to fighting the life-threatening blood cancer of leukemia through the funding of leukemia research and patient aid in Texas. Through the Patient Aid program, Leukemia Texas provides financial assistance to leukemia patients requiring assistance with the cost of necessary treatment and expenses. This program currently serves hundreds of children and adults each year. The Leukemia Texas Research Program awards grants for research to develop new and improved methods of treatment, which may ultimately lead to a cure for leukemia. Since 1970, Leukemia Texas has awarded millions of dollars to Texas medical centers.
