Since 1976 the Fort Bend Regional Council on Substance Abuse, Inc. (FBRC) has been changing lives and giving hope to our community by fulfilling our mission of: "Providing families and individuals substance abuse prevention, education, and treatment services they need for positive change for themselves and the community."

Youth services program: In 2018 FBRC's youth programs reached 4,522 youth in local schools through prevention education and skills training using the school based youth connection and the life skills training programs. 960 high risk youth received counseling and 13,430 youth and 2,584 adults participated in prevention focused alternative activities in schools and at the summer explosion, summer journey and high school leadership programs, while 11,746 people attended a community-based tobacco and substance use education presentations. FBRC screened and successfully referred 204 youth to helpful community resources and services. Cumulatively, including community presentations and special events the youth program reached 32,396 people in our community.
