TOSA is committed to a mission of saving lives through the power of organ donation by providing organ donation and recovery services to Central and South Texans wishing to donate, and to those waiting for a life-saving organ transplant.

Texas Organ Sharing Alliance (TOSA), founded in 1975, is one of 56 federally-designated organ procurement organizations (OPOs) in the United States. Organ transplantation: this includes the delivery of information, education, recovery, preservation, and movement of organs to other procurement agencies and transplant centers. During 2019: 207 donors were recovered within our service area with a total of 620 local organs and 173 imported organs into our service area. This is a total of 793 organs for transplants which benefited patients on a national organ waiting list in 2019. The organization was able to save 660 human lives through the power of organ donation program. Other tissues were recovered for transplant and research.
