Bacoda's Youthworks Program served 3,012 adults and 6,577 youth during the fiscal year. Youthworks provides prevention education utilizing the SAMSHA approved, evidence-based, internationally recognized curriculum Positive Action. Youthwords' prevention specialists facilitate the character building curriculum to at-risk youth in a group setting on school campuses and commmunity sites across Southeast Harris, Galveston, Brazoria, Fort Bend, Wharton, and Matagorda counties. Positive Action is based on the intuitive philosophy that we feel good about ourselves when we do positive actions.
