Recovery Council of Southeast Texas was founded in 1958 by a group of concerned citizens who recognized the lack of services for alcoholics. The Council's role expanded in 1985 to include services for persons abusing drugs other than alcohol. The Council seeks to educate and to stimulate community awareness and advocacy for all forms of services which will prevent, intervene in, and provide treatment for those individuals and families in need.
