TFAs tours program continued to grow, with 937 students and teachers attending Explore Downtown Tulsa and other private tours to teach architecture, history and civic pride to our youth. This year we began to add travel writers, social media influencers, and prospective Tulsans to our private tour groups. Monthly Second Saturday tours continued to sell out five tour groups of 30 people each, with the Tulsa Underground tunnel tours growing to 24 groups of 35 people each. In addition, we produced several Mod of the Moment midcentury modern open houses, two Members Open House events highlighting adaptive reuse of historic buildings, and a celebration of Murray Jones Murray architecture firm. In total, 4,736 people came to our 2018 Second Saturdays and open houses; more than 100 volunteers participated, including a dozen tour guides.
