Rebuilding Together Miami Dade preserves home ownership and revitalizes communities by providing critical home repairs to senior citizens, veterans and disabled homeowners in need, free of charge. Each homeowner's house is surveyed and a unique workscope is created in an effort to make the home a safe and healthy place for inhabitants to age in place. One hundred percent of homeowners served earned 80% of Miami-Dade County's AMI, the average household income is $21,131. 97% of 2017 homeowners were minorities, 70% seniors, 45% veterans, and 56% disabled. In 2017, we completed work on 57 homes, 4 small businesses, and 3 community spaces, totaling 1.5 million in market value work. This work was made possible thanks to 901 volunteers donating 2,258 volunteer hours of labor.
