About

Naples Music Club Scholarship: The purpose of the Music Foundation of Greater Naples (MFGN) Scholarship Competition is to recognize and reward excellence in performance and to encourage continued growth musically. The MFGN Scholarship Program began in 1970 with one small grant awarded to a Collier County student for summer study. Since then, contributions from a generous community have made it possible to support almost 800 middle and high school students with more than $550,000 (2014 figures). In 2018-19 we presented over 60 winners more than $67,000! The MFGN competitions are open to students in grades 6-12 who reside in Collier County or in the adjacent communities of Bonita Springs or Estero, and are presently enrolled in public or private schools or are home schooled. Competition categories are brass, woodwinds, piano, percussion, strings, voice and guitar. Scholarships are used for such pursuits or items such as summer music camps, study with private teachers, instrument upgrade, or for college studies.
