JASMYN supports and empowers LGBTQ+ young people by creating safe space, providing health and wholeness services, and offering youth development opportunities, while bringing people and resources together to promote equality and human rights. Our vision: LGBTQ young people are affirmed in their identities, confident in their futures, and are a valued asset in the Northeast Florida community. About
HIV prevention and clinical services: JASMYN is a state certified HIV counseling and testing site, offering on site services and community outreach/testing. In 2018, JASMYN completed 1025 HIV tests. JASMYN staff linked 100% of HIV clients to care last year and saw a viral suppression rate among them of 76%. In collaboration with the Florida Dept. of Health- Duval County, JASMYN offers a drop-in sexual health clinic each Thursday on its campus. In 2018, 710 youth visited the clinic for testing and treatment of syphilis, gonorrhea, and chlamydia. More than 57,000 condoms were distributed during the year and a health navigation program connecting HIV- negative young men of color with PrEP, pre-exposure prophylaxis, served 25 young people with effective biomedical HIV prevention.
