Mission
Mosaic Georgia (a Sexual Assault Center & Children's Advocacy Center) is a "dual agency" whose mission is to take action and guide change for the safety, health, and justice for children and adults impacted by sexual violence and abuse. Our strategies to improve safety, health, and justice: 1. Direct services: crisis intervention with forensic medical care, advocacy, counseling & support, legal services to individuals (in client-centered, trauma-informed approach); 2. Prevention strategies: education, awareness, policy work to eliminate social conditions that allow for sexual violence; and 3. Collaboration and professional education: build capacity of local community response to crime victims.

Forensic medical examinations and forensic interviewsSexual assault nurse examainers care for victims of rape, sexual assault or abuse with physical examinations, evidence collection and prophylactic care 24/7. More than 200 adults and children received these services in 2017. Specially trained forensic interviewers talk with children who disclose sexual abuse or molestation in custom interview rooms at the request of law enforcement or DFCS (Dept of Family and Childrens Services).
