About
Our Kids of Miami/Dade and Monroe, Inc. was not selected by the Florida Department of Children & Families (DCF) to remain as the lead community based care provider for the southern region in March 2019. As such, Our Kids began the transition process required in April 2019 and officially ceased providing direct services to children and families at 11:59pm on June 30, 2019. Effective July 1, 2019, the official closeout process was initiated between Our Kids and DCF which was scheduled to be completed by December 31, 2019. The closeout process outlined our responsibilities to ensure that all reporting requirements of deliverable and/or reports due to DCF was submitted prior to dissolution. As of this date, we are pending the completion of a short audit which should be finalized and submitted to DCF on or by Friday, February 14, 2020, at which time we will file articles of dissolution.
