Health initiatives- UWM's wholly-owned subsidiary, Community Partners of the Midlands, LLC dba WellPartners, provides dental and eye care for people who are underinsured or who have no insurance at all. From July 2018- June 2019, WellPartners provided over 4800 free dental patient visits and eye care services and/or corrective lenses to more than 1600 people. WellPartners' children's dental program is supported by more than 150 volunteer dentists. UWM also promotes access to primary healthcare and helped more than 2600 people access quality health care. More than 1200 seniors were able to participate in home-delivered or congregate meal programs supported by United Way. This support resulted in more than 240,000 meals for Midlands seniors.
